Hello and Namaste !!
Welcome to my page. I am currently an Assistant Professor of Economics at Western Illinois University. Due to budget cuts at my institution, I am actively seeking a new position and hence I am on the Job Market 2024-2025 . My expertise lies in Applied Microeconomics, particularly in development, health, and public policy. The majority of my research fits into these domains: i) the impact of financial resources on health outcomes, ii) the effectiveness of public policies on overall well-being, iii) the role of biases and disparities in the labor market, and iv) the relationship between social norms and economic decision making. Please visit my research page for more information on my ongoing research.
I was born and raised in Nepal. I moved to the US for my undergraduate degree and have been living here since. In my free time, I enjoy capturing photos of animals, birds, and unique architecture. I also love creating acrylic artwork and mandalas and experimenting with new recipes.
