Hello and Namaste

Welcome to my page! I am an applied microeconomist with research interests in development economics, health economics, and public policy. I earned my PhD in Economics from the University of Iowa in August 2021 and currently I am an Assistant Professor of Economics at Western Illinois University. Here are my ongoing research projects:

  • Impact of financial resources on health outcomes: Investigating how financial incentives shape health outcomes and empower women.
  • Effectiveness of public policies: Analyzing how policies influence education and well-being.
  • Biases and disparities in the labor market: Examining the effects of biases on economic outcomes.
  • Social norms and economic decision-making: Exploring how norms influence choices and behaviors.

Bio: I was born and raised in Nepal. In my free time, I enjoy capturing photos of animals, birds, and unique architecture. I also create acrylic artwork and mandalas and experiment with new recipes. I am passionate about learning new languages and exploring different cultures.
